Set in the stunning, serene landscape of White Sands National Park in Las Cruces, New Mexico, a fateful encounter in the desert sets a winding love affair in motion. This non-linear story weaves back and forth through time, with White Sands as the baseline, revealing how the lovers were connected long before their paths crossed—and how they will remain intertwined into the future.

The story begins with three friends—Andrew, Matt, and Gabe—who journey into the park to gain inspiration for the sci-fi screenplay they are co-writing. Surrounded by a region abundant with alien conspiracy theories, they figure it is the perfect place to gather some “intelligence.” Preoccupied with their own journey and the vast desert around them, interacting with other human beings is not on their radar. Meanwhile, a solo traveler seeking her own personal legend, Didem, also ventures into the desert.

Three months earlier, back in Los Angeles, Andrew is on a path of healing. Determined to mend his wounds and past failures, he seeks help through non-traditional therapeutic methods. Simultaneously, in Istanbul, Turkey, Didem visits a shaman to address the inexplicable ailments she has been experiencing. Both sessions ultimately push each individual in a new direction, sending their paths toward a destined collision.

Back at White Sands, the divine encounter occurs deep in the heart of the desert. Andrew and Didem are drawn to each other as if they have always known one another. Their attraction feels cosmic, resonating on a profound, soul-level connection.

Six months after their desert encounter, Andrew and Didem marry atop a mountain in Yosemite National Park. They elope in a sunset ceremony overlooking the valley, as the golden light bounces off Half Dome like the radiance of an angel. After the ceremony, it is revealed that Didem is pregnant.

The story concludes back in White Sands, on the day of their crossing, unveiling the intentions they hold for their lives—intentions that will unknowingly guide them along the path fate has designed.
